Who We Are

Husband and wife team Martin and Tara Ballam opened Dorset Falconry Park in 2019.

Martin has worked in the industry for over 40 years and has worked in many collections.  His own journey began with Xtreme Falconry, an off site display team and experience day company.  However his passion was always to follow his dream of conservation and that is when Dorset Falconry Park was opened and home to the birds in his collection.

Tara is a qualified secondary school science teacher with a degree in Zoology and has supported Martin with his passion and dream.  Tara enjoys promoting the educational aspect of the work done here.

Philip, Connie and Elsie (their three children) are always busy at the park too.  Philip is always behind the scenes whilst the girls are following in their dad's footsteps to promote the conservation and education of raptors.
